Executive Chairman

Glen Tullman is the Executive Chairman of Livongo and is passionately committed to finding a cure for diabetes and other chronic conditions and keeping people healthy until we do. A visionary leader and entrepreneur, he previously ran two public companies that changed the way healthcare is delivered. Most recently, Tullman served as Chief Executive Officer of Allscripts, the leading provider of Electronic Health Records, Practice Management and Electronic Prescribing systems. He is the author of On Our Terms: Empowering the New Health Consumer, which proposes new solutions to address the chronic-condition epidemic facing our country. A strong proponent of philanthropy, Tullman also serves as a Chancellor to the International Board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and as a Board member of the American Diabetes Association.

Zane Burke

Zane Burke

Chief Executive Officer

Zane Burke is the Chief Executive Officer of Livongo. Burke previously spent five years as president of Cerner Corporation, a $5.1 billion publicly-traded healthcare IT company where he worked for more than two decades transforming healthcare around the globe and building relationships with the top health systems in the world. While there, Burke held various senior executive roles in sales, strategy, finance, and operations. He also led direction and strategy around solutions and services, new business efforts, revenue generation, policy, federal involvement and marketing. With a wide range of expertise and tenure across sales, support and finance roles, Burke leads with an integrated business mind-set and a continuous focus on client relationships across all segments of the healthcare market. Burke sits on the Boards of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and Truman Medical Centers. He earned his undergraduate degree and MBA from Kansas State University.

Jennifer Schneider

Jennifer Schneider

President

Dr. Jennifer Schneider is the President of Livongo. In this role, she is responsible for product, data science, engineering, marketing, and clinical operations. Dr. Schneider previously served as the company’s Chief Medical Officer where she led the company’s strategic clinical product vision, data science, clinical trials, and the organization’s certified diabetes educators and coaches. Prior to Livongo, Dr. Schneider held several key leadership roles at Castlight Health, most recently as Chief Medical Officer. She also has held leadership roles in the provider setting as a health outcomes researcher and Chief Resident at Stanford University, and has practiced medicine as an attending physician at Stanford University, the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, and Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Schneider has an undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross, a Doctor of Medicine degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and a Master of Science degree in Health Services Research from Stanford University. She completed her internal medicine residency at Stanford University Hospital. Dr. Schneider is a frequent speaker about innovation in healthcare, where she shares her unique perspective as a practicing physician, health services researcher, senior executive and individual who has lived with Type 1 diabetes for more than 30 years. She has three children and is an avid runner and athlete, having completed her first IronMan in 2016.

Lee Shapiro

Lee Shapiro

Chief Financial Officer
Responsible for the financial, legal and strategic growth initiatives, Lee Shapiro brings a wealth of experience to Livongo Health. From November 2013 until taking the CFO role, Lee served on the board of Livongo, most recently as Chair of its Audit Committee. From 2001 through 2012, Lee was President of Allscripts Healthcare Solutions [NASDAQ:MDRX] and his leadership was central to over $4B in mergers, acquisitions and financings. He oversaw the company’s strategy, international operations, business development and partnerships, health plan initiatives and entrepreneurial business investments. Lee is Managing Partner at 7wire Ventures, an investment firm he co-founded over a decade ago with Glen Tullman. He has been active with the 7wire portfolio, serving on the boards of many of its companies. He serves on the boards of Medidata Solutions [NASDAQ:MDSO], and Tivity Health [NASDAQ:TVTY], where he chairs the audit committee. Lee is a member of the National Board of Directors of the American Heart Association. He earned his JD degree from The University of Chicago Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Jim Pursley

Jim Pursley

Chief Commercial Officer
Jim Pursley is responsible for Livongo Health’s commercial efforts and go-to-market strategy, including sales and strategic partnerships. He played a similar role at EosHealth. Prior to joining EosHealth, Jim ran global sales and marketing for Care Innovations, an Intel-GE company where he also served as General Manager of the Independent Living business segment at Care Innovations overseeing the launch of three new products, including Care Innovations’ first direct-to-consumer offering in healthcare. He was also on the original team involved in the formation of Care Innovations in 2011, where he provided strategic leadership and market expertise to help launch the new company. In addition to his role at Care Innovations, Jim has served on the Board of Directors for the Technology Research for Independent Living (TRIL) Centre in Ireland and as a Commissioner for the Center for Aging Services Technology (CAST) in Washington, DC. Jim joined the executive team of Care Innovations having spent 10 years at GE most recently serving as General Manager of Sales and Marketing for GE Healthcare’s Aging Services business, a new venture created to address the challenges of global aging. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Sciences and Information Systems from Penn State University and a Master in Business Administration from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. He is also Six Sigma Green and Black Belt trained.
Dave Engberg

Dave Engberg

Chief Technology Officer
Dave is the Chief Technology Officer for Livongo Health, where he oversees engineering, service operations and IT. Before joining Livongo, Dave served as CTO of Evernote for nine years. His team built the secure note-taking service in 2007 and then grew it over the years to support billions of notes and tens of millions of active users. During that time, he started and grew the teams for platform engineering, service operations, internal IT, security, data engineering/analytics, R&D, API/developer relations, and technical support. Prior to Evernote, Dave was the cofounder and CTO of CoreStreet, a company that pioneered massive-scale cryptographic identity management solutions for large companies and government agencies. He also designed and built the Driveway online file storage service, which had more than 15 million users. Dave has an undergraduate degree in Symbolic Systems from Stanford, and received a Masters in Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
Arnnon Geshuri

Arnnon Geshuri

Chief People Officer
Arnnon Geshuri is the Chief People Officer at Livongo Health. In this role, he is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, workforce development, and culture. Previously, Arnnon was the Vice President of Human Resources at Tesla and was responsible for driving HR operations and the global recruitment efforts. During his tenure through 2017, he oversaw the growth of Tesla from a 400-person scrappy startup to an integrated sustainable energy company with more than 35,000 employees around the globe. Prior to Tesla, Arnnon was the senior director of staffing operations for Google, where he designed the company’s legendary recruitment organization and talent acquisition strategy. Arnnon joined Google as chief staffing architect in late 2004, when the company just emerged from its IPO and employed around 2,500 people. While he oversaw all aspects of recruitment, Google evolved into a technology powerhouse with over 25,000 employees – a workplace considered the premier destination for ambitious software engineers. Before Google, Arnnon was vice president of human resources and director of global staffing for E*TRADE Financial. In the first 18 months, he supported the rapid growth of the company through multiple acquisitions and hired an additional 2,000 employees to evolve the company from an online brokerage house to a fintech disruptor with a broad portfolio of financial products and services. Prior to E*TRADE Financial he worked at Applied Materials where he built and managed corporate-wide staffing operations as the company scaled by another 7,000 global employees within 2 years. During the 2000s, he launched a startup focused on developing project management software for the service industry and in the early 1990s, he was an organizational effectiveness consultant for New United Motors Manufacturing (NUMMI), the Fremont, Calif.-based joint venture of Toyota and General Motors. In addition to his industry work, he currently sits on several startup and academic advisory boards including the Mechanical Engineering Department Advisory Council at San Jose State University and the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business Master of Science Program in Business Analytics. Arnnon has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California at Irvine and a master’s in industrial/organizational psychology from San Jose State University.
Amar Kendale

Amar Kendale

Chief Product Officer
Amar is passionate about developing products and technology that can shape the future of health and wellness, and improve lives. For over a decade, he has been responsible for bringing into focus the needs of stakeholders, patients, providers, manufacturers, and payers to drive the development and commercialization of a wide range of therapeutic and diagnostic products. At Livongo Health, Amar coordinates the company’s product management and design activities. Prior to joining Livongo, Amar has held a variety of strategy, market development, product management, and marketing roles in high-growth companies. Most recently at MC10, he defined and validated opportunities for new stretchable, wearable electronics products and platforms, with diverse applications in consumer and healthcare markets ranging from sports impact indicators to neurological disease monitoring. Earlier in his career, Amar developed medical devices and pharmaceutical products with high-powered teams that included serial innovators Bob Langer, George Whitesides, and Al Chin. His work has spanned bioabsorbable cardiovascular stents, cardiac surgery tools for intrathoracic visualization, hemostatic drug delivery foams, and implantable devices to treat obesity and diabetes. Amar completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and holds 8 patents.
Dr. Bimal Shah

Dr. Bimal Shah

Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Bimal Shah is responsible for Livongo’s strategic clinical product vision, clinical content, and clinical research and analytics. Dr. Shah previously served as the company’s Senior Vice President for Clinical and Strategic Partnerships, where he provided clinical guidance and launched Livongo first cardiovascular product offering, assisted in strategic pursuits, and explored opportunities to expand Livongo’s offerings into other parts of the healthcare market. Prior to Livongo, Dr. Shah was the Service Line Vice President at Premier, Inc for its real-world evidence business. Prior to Premier, Dr. Shah served as an Assistant Professor at Duke University, where he held numerous leadership positions in research programs and clinical administration. Dr. Shah graduated from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill with the highest honors and earned both a Doctor of Medicine and Masters in Business Administration from Duke University. Dr. Shah completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford University before finishing a General Cardiology fellowship at Duke University. He is also a member of both the Board of Advisors for the Duke School of Nursing and Board of Visitors for the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Dr. Shah is a practicing cardiologist.
Courtnee Westendorf

Courtnee Westendorf

Chief Marketing Officer
Courtnee Westendorf serves as the Chief Marketing Officer for Livongo. In this role she oversees all brand, marketing, communications, digital and event activities. Through her successful 25 year career in consumer marketing, Westendorf brings a unique perspective and broad skill set to Livongo. Westendorf most recently served as the Oakland Raiders CMO, SVP of Marketing. She was chartered with the development and execution of all marketing efforts and events during the challenges of franchise relocation. During her tenure, she led the evolution and growth of the Raiders brand, as the team looked to strengthen its relationship with one of the most diverse and passionate global fan bases in the NFL. Her responsibilities included brand marketing, advertising, corporate events and communications, live events, digital and social marketing, and enhanced game day experiences. Prior to joining the Raiders, Westendorf served as VP of Marketing for Intel, redefining marketing partnerships for the company through unique engagements with some of the world’s leading sports properties, including Barcelona FC and the San Francisco 49ers. She was a corporate spokesperson for the Women at Intel program, sharing personal stories and connecting with hundreds as well as advocating for female leaders across the organization. At Disney, she was VP of Consumer Marketing, responsible for developing and executing all go-to-market strategies across all console, social, digital and app based products for the Disney Interactive Media Group. Westendorf successfully managed the creative, production and event teams to launch and market existing, as well as new IP products across the Disney/ABC landscape. Westendorf started her career at Apple, spending over a decade in senior marketing communications and product marketing roles. She led brand and consumer partnerships, as well as serving in an array of key marketing functions in support of the company’s launches of the iMac, iTunes, the iPod, iPhone, the App ecosystem and related products and services. Most notably, Westendorf served on the iPhone executive launch team, managing content creation, go-to-market activities, branding and partnerships. Westendorf holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Loyola Marymount University and a master’s degree in Education from Pepperdine University. She is a fifth-generation Bay Area Californian, mother of two girls and an avid skier.
Anmol Madan

Anmol Madan

Chief Data Scientist
Anmol Madan is Chief Data Scientist at Livongo where he is responsible for machine learning and data science across all of Livongo’s products and services, to help people be the best versions of themselves. Anmol previously co-founded Ginger.io, an AI-driven behavioral health system that provides access to 24/7 coaching, therapy and psychiatry, and served as its Chief Executive Officer for 7 years. Under his leadership, Ginger.io built an AI-driven member and clinical product, established a high-growth distribution model with employers, became broadly available as an in-network health-plan benefit, and raised $35 million in venture funding from top-tier Silicon Valley VCs. Anmol received a Ph.D. in machine learning applied to human behavior from the MIT Media Lab, and has authored 20+ scientific publications (Science, AAAI, Ubicomp, NIPS), and over a dozen patents related to machine learning in healthcare. He has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Creative people, and as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer.
Karl Greiter

Karl Greiter

Senior Vice President, Operations
Karl Greiter is the Senior Vice President of Operations for Livongo where he oversees client implementation, client success, member enrollment, supply chain, member support, and regulatory affairs. Before serving in his current role Karl led Livongo’s National Employer Sales team with responsibility for commercial development for employers. He also served as the Vice President of Commercial Partnerships, where he led a team identifying and developing relationships with leading benefit consultant organizations, pharmacy benefit management groups, and other ecosystem partners. Prior to Livongo, Karl was with Allscripts Healthcare Solutions for nearly twenty years, where he led a variety of different groups including roles as an Outcome Executive, Group Vice President of Sales, and Vice President of Service Sales. Karl holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois.
Michael Sturmer

Michael Sturmer

Senior Vice President, Health Services Segment
Michael Sturmer is responsible for creating relationships, expanding services and business strategies with the country’s largest health services companies, health plans, and risk based organizations. Prior to joining Livongo, Michael spent over 15 years with Cigna, a Global Health Services Company. While at Cigna he held a variety of leadership positions across the company including roles in Consumer Health Engagement, Analytics, Technology, and National Accounts. Most recently, he was the Chief Operating Officer for the New York/New Jersey Health Plan, where he focused on delivering the transformation from volume-to value-based care across key stakeholders, including employers, health plans, and health care systems and providers. Michael has an Associates RN degree from Wesley College and an Undergraduate degree from the Quinnipiac University School of Business in Healthcare Administration. He served as a board member of the North East Business Group on Health, is a member of the Advisory Board for Safeguard Scientifics, and is a guest lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business for its Health Care Entrepreneur program.

Steve Schwartz is the Senior Vice President for Business Development for Livongo Health. Previously, Steve was the Senior VP of Corporate Development & Strategy at Healthways (Nasdaq: HWAY) where he helped navigate the company through its most recent transaction that resulted in $600M in market cap growth in less than 9 months. Prior to that, Steve held executive leadership positions at 23andMe and Allscripts (Nasdaq: MDRX), and earlier in his career was in senior management at LabCorp.
Gary Alpert

Gary Alpert is the Senior Vice President of Client Success for Livongo Health. In this role, Gary and his team have responsibility for the long-term success and satisfaction of Livongo’s clients. Gary is passionate about Livongo’s mission of empowering people with chronic conditions to live a better life and honored by the trust our clients have placed in us to make a difference in the lives of their employees, families, and members. Gary brings over 25 years of entrepreneurship, general management, and health care experience to Livongo. Prior to Livongo, Gary held several key leadership roles at Castlight Health, most recently as VP of Customer Success and before that as VP of Solutions Consulting. Gary was CEO and co-founder of WetFeet Inc., one of the first consumer recruitment websites and a leading provider of SaaS recruitment software to the enterprise. He also ran business development for Caring.com, the leading online eldercare destination, and was an early employee at health care consultancy The Advisory Board Company. Gary is on the Board of Directors of the MBA-Nonprofit Connection, which connects leading non-profit organizations with experienced management talent from the nation’s top graduate business schools. Gary earned a Master of Business Administration and Certificate in Public Management from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University.
Erica Palsis

General Counsel
Erica Palsis serves as General Counsel for Livongo. In this role, Erica is focused on the day-to-day legal operations of Livongo, including corporate governance, compliance, client contracting, partnerships, acquisitions, labor and employment, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining Livongo, Erica was with Allscripts Healthcare Solutions for seven years, focusing on commercial transactions while providing legal guidance to the ambulatory products business unit for a broad range of operational matters. Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago and a J.D. from DePaul College of Law. At DePaul, she was Executive Text Editor of the DePaul Journal of Health Care Law and a Health Law Institute Fellow.
