Speaker 1 (00:00):
People would call us in the middle of the night and theyd say, I have a sinus infection and wed say, well, why are you calling us? And theyd say, well, number one, youre the only people to answer the phone in the middle of the night. Youre the only people who we trust. And three youre the only people who actually care about solving the problem. So we said, well, how do we solve that problem telehealth? So we knew we needed telehealth capability on the flip side Teladoc, which was the clear leader in virtual care. There theyll do about 10 million visits this year. They looked at it and they said, people who are calling a lot of people who call us, dont just call for sinus infection. They call it because they have a chronic condition and boy, wouldnt it be great if we could help them with their chronic condition and do it.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
So they dont only have multiple, multiple pieces of software, multiple applications, multiple coaches. Wouldnt it be great if we can create one place to go, to get an incredible experience of healthcare, which weve never had anywhere in the U S anyway. And so, as we talk, we saw, wow, this is amazing. Youre international. Wed like to be international. Youre already in 50 countries. Theres only 25% overlap of our customer base, what an expansion opportunity. And then we looked at it and we said, theres no product overlap. Everything we do. You dont have every scene. You do. We dont have. And now we stretch from the hospital with their InTouch product to coming to home all the way home to our digital front door. And so weve covered the whole base and weve done that very comprehensively. So it was, it was just, it was an unbelievable fit. Ive never seen a fit and Ive done a lot of acquisitions. A lot of mergers never seen a fit this good.
